January 7 is Orthodox Christmas, and so the official holiday here in Ukraine. Due to the craziness at Charles de Gualle airport over the Christmas season, many of our Diplomatic pouches were delayed. So, even though my wonderful sister-in-law planned far, far, far in advance, and hand-made our gifts and mailed them in sufficient time... we didn't get the gifts until New Year's! So I saved them for the other Christmas, and we had so much fun!.
