In January of 2010 I celebrated 10 years of service with the State Department. Being a large bureaucracy, I didn't get my certificate (and stylish pin) until the June 4 Awards Ceremony at the Ambassador's residence. The only photo from my camera is blurry, but I have the professional one at work, and I'll replace this with that one at some point. But here Ambassador Tefft has handed over the award, and my buddy Rob N in the audience is cracking jokes about me wearing the pin to work on Monday. Which I did not. But perhaps I'll festoon my Marine Corps Ball gown with the various pins and medals I have collected during my decade of indentured servitude?
